Today some of us attended the Retirement Ceremony for Billy. Billy retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 22 years of Service with countless decorations and achievements.
It was the first ceremony that I attended for someone in the Service. It was an honor to be a part of it!
I could really feel the dedication, devotion, commitment and honor that these men and women have for their duty and country.

One of his many certificates and awards!
Because the family makes sacrifices for the men in Service, Grace(Billy's wife) is presented with awards also.
Billy ended the ceremony with words of gratitude for everyone in his life. Very Nice!
The Coast Guard also presents Billy with a United States flag in a powerful ritual, slowly passing the flag from one man, saluting each other, to the next man.
