Beautiful Memorial Day for the beach.

 

Before anything else I want to remember and Thank all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Thank you also to all those who continue to serve.

When we were kids almost all the kids rode plywood paipo boards at Waikiki.

Dawn's Birthday Dinner 05-30-2021

Dawn's 17 birthday was earlier this month but we went out last night for her dinner.

 

Our choice was Roy's in Hawaii Kai

It felt so weird to get dressed and dine-in, how long has it been?

 

 

I got Dawn and her best friend their own table.

 

 

Grandpa is always so thrilled for the photo time

 

 

Ceasar Salad with Butter Lettuce and shrimp - this is a half portion

They were nice enough to split the salad for us.

Escargot - Winnah!

They used to have a curry flavor escargot but now it's traditional garlic butter!

 

 

 

Ooops!  We forgot to take the pic of the Brussels Sprout before - we dove in too fast!

It was delious!

 

 

Braised Short Ribs - always tender and tasty

 

 

Grandma got the Miso Butter fish - nice and generous!

 

Dora chose the Filet Mignon - it was Excellent!

 

Lobster Paella for me - I liked it!

 

 

Warm Pineapple Upside down cake is Grandpa's favorite!

 

Dora loves her Warm Chocolate Souffle with vanilla ice cream!

 

Happy Birthday Dawn!!!

She's making a funny face because she didn't expect the birthday attention - haha!

 

Roy's did a great job of spacing everyone out and seating many parties outside. Food was great and there was a lot of sanitizing by the staff. We enjoyed the dining in experience and felt comfortable.
