This is an announcement for an informal meeting on Sunday 1/21/2018 that relates to the EISPN below.
Where: Ala Moana Park Tennis Court area
Time: 4 pm
Purpose: A short strategic meeting to share ideas and to form a consensus as a group.
I know some people think sending comments won't make a difference.
I know some people think 'it's a done deal'.
I know some people think they won't listen to us.
I totally respect everyone's opinion and I know you may not be able to attend for other reasons.
However, if you are interested in joining the group to discuss your opinions and think that just maybe a few comments might make a difference. Please join us on Sunday.
I wasn't going to announce this but I would hate to think that there may be 1 or 2 people that would've wanted to join but didn't know about the meeting.

Hey Gang,
I received this email, perhaps some of you did too. The city is asking for our comments to the proposed changes coming our way.
Take a few minutes to read, think and comment on the proposed 'improvements’.
Since this post, I've sent 2 emails to Joanne stating what I like and don't like about the proposed changes. Even though the changes lack detail, I think it's important to send in comments!
I think we can make a difference - I don't think it is a 'done deal'.
If we don't send in comments, others will. Now is our chance - don't let it slip away.

Aloha Participant,
On behalf of the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Design and Construction, we respectfully request your review and comment on the EISPN for the proposed park and facilities improvements at Ala Moana Regional Park and Magic Island. As one of the oldest and most visited parks in the State, the new improvements are intended to restore, revitalize, enhance, and improve the grounds and facilities to extend their longevity.
On December 13, 2017, the EISPN was submitted to the Office of Quality Control (OEQC) under Chapter 343, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, requirements. By that submittal, a notice of the EISPN’s availability was published in the OEQC’s December 23, 2017 issue of The Environmental Notice. Publication of that notice initiates a public review period of 30 days. You may review the EISPN document on the OEQC’s website:
