There it is, just like they said - Should be ok for paddling.

Still sore, probably be sore for a while.

 

Gotta leave this bandage on for a week.

 

ICD 02-27-2017

My ICD is in and I'm at home.
The surgery was done by 10:30am and I was home by 3pm.

I'm in some pain but not too bad. Thanks for your emails and texts with positive thoughts, I appreciate it  

Mahalo to the staff at Queens Hospital for the top notch care and service. Everyone is so nice!

Gonna take it easy this week.

Wind: Light Trades

Great conditions but tiny waves.

I wanted to paddle out but don't want to risk getting worse before my procedure on Monday.

Thursday 02-23-2017

No surf again.

The winds were better but still looking very small.

Stayed home to get Dawn ready for school.

 

I was really hoping to surf this week but doesn't look like it'll happen.

Next Monday I'm getting an ICD placed into me and can't surf for a month while it heals.

My cardiologist is recommending the ICD due to my weakened heart muscle.

So catch your waves now while I'm out!

UPDATE: Guy is back at HOME!

Queens hospital was able to help Guy and now will continue to treat him with medication.

He's at home but not feeling too good.

Keep him in your prayers!

Howzit gang!

Not sure if you heard but Courts old-time regular and ding repairman extraordinaire can use our KOKUA!

Guy recently had a heart attack and had a few stents put in. He's recovering well at home.

I'd like to start a collection to help him with any unforeseen medical expenses!
