After Dawn's violin class we went to check out the Honolulu Museum of Art Spalding House. You know, because we have a high appreciation of the Fine Arts.
Located in upper Makiki it is actually an old residence turned museum.
First stop, the Cafe. They have a nice assortment of healthy lunch options. We all opted for the Grilled Flatbread Panini Sandwiches and Salad.
My Roasted Eggplant and Pepper Panini did not disappoint!
The grounds are very relaxing and cool!
The theme for the exhibits is 'Less is More'
These are Origami Tulips.
The Orchids looked real!
This was my favorite exhibit!!! At first glance, it looks like a drawing.
It is a SINGLE piece of thread wrapped around pins!
AMAZING!!!
Not to be out done, Dawn and I did an equally amazing feat by punching holes into paper using a single pin!
We also took liking to the 'Wall of Mirrors!'
Kidding aside, we enjoyed our visit to the museum. You should go and check it out too!
