Yay! Today is my birthday!
After this beautiful morning shot, Dawn and I hit the pools, one last time before leaving the Hilton.

We would normally go out for dinner tonight but we made an appointment to take our Christmas card photo with the Island's best photographer - Jalna!
She took a variety of shots - I'm sure we'll have plenty of good shots to choose from. This is just a sample that she took with my iPhone. Sorry I can't reveal the secret location.
We let Dawn choose the dinner spot - her choice: Yummy BBQ. Don't worry we'll be going to a special place for both Dora and my birthday soon.

While some people shop, we Staycation!
We're spending the weekend in Waikiki.
This Black Friday thing started earlier and is still going this year - that's good for retailers but looks like they'll need a new name for it next year, 'cuz it might start before Thanksgiving!
We checked-in yesterday evening at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
I didn't bring a board - good thing the waves are small.

It was nice to just relax......
In the evening we drove to Hawaii Kai Towne Center.
We tried 'Sushi Man' before and thought it was 'just ok', but it was time to try them again. Dawn likes Teka Maki.
Dora and I got this 'Crunchy Spicy Ahi Bowl' - bugga was da bomb!
Why did we come here? Dawn's school Chorus performing!
They were awesome as usual!
We made it back just in time for the Friday Fireworks!
Happy Friday! This sure beats working!

Happy Thanksgiving 11-22-2012
Everyday I am thankful for good health, good family, good friends, good job, good food, good surf and good boards!
Today I am also thankful for a fun Dawn Patrol session too!

Our Thanksgiving tradition is to have lunch at my cousin Norman's house. Norman and Ann have a beautiful home and Norman is a great cook.
