A fun but crowded morning!  The news must've had a good forecast last night.

Tatsu is back!  Tatsu and his family are here for a few days from Japan.  It was great to surf with him this morning.

Tatsu caught some good waves but I only got him on this one.

You know I like to share my good dining experiences right?  Looking for a good and cheap plate lunch?  Check this place out!

Tommy's Coffee Shop is located in the basement of the Medical Arts Building across Mckinley High School.  It's literally a 'hole-in-the-wall'.  This is it!  You order here and pick-up here. Strictly take-out..... there's no seating area. Looks sketchy yeah?

 

This is the breakfast - Rice, eggs and 7 pieces of bacon.  $3.75

 

 

Grilled Ahi plate. $5.75

 

 

Mixed plate: Grilled Ahi and Meatloaf. $6.75

 

 

Mixed plate: Grilled Ahi and Pork Adobo. $6.75

Fish Report 08-28-2012

We got the call from Kekoa yesterday..... get da magic bait!  Koa had some oamas for us!

Tony and I woke up extra early to get ready.

Tone's rig is ready!

 

 

My set-up sure aint pretty but it works!

 

 

Aiiiiyah!  Only had a few alive! 

 

 

Inside..... outside..... inside.... All I got was this Mongoose fish - yup Tag-and-release!    The Mongose fish is actually good eating but is known for ciguatera.

 

 

Also caught a nice rainbow on the way in.

Mahalo Kekoa for the bait - sorry we didn't get good returns - no worry we'll try again!!!!

Last night we met to celebrate Tony's birthday - Tony's choice: Shillawon!

It's been a while since we last dined there - let me tell you, it's still GOOD!

 

Tucked away on Amana street, it's the answer the 'Where's the beef?'

 

 

The best chocolates in Hawaii - favors courtesy of the Keones.

 

 

Leighton couldn't make it, Aily had a fever on Sunday.

Dawn and I came down to play and volunteer to help my company's Adopt-A-Highway clean up.

Nice morning at the beach.

Friday Fish-day 08-24-2012

The surf came up but so did the wind - Miles and Tony said it was good.

I just felt like fishing today!

Recycle Day 08-22-2012

I made the sacrifice today.

NO SURF for me..... I volunteered to help collect and sort cans and bottles for Dawn's school. All money collected from our recycling efforts go to the PTA.
