My team(5 Happy Chefs) got 2nd and 3rd place and in addition we also received the 'Peoples Choice' award!

I came to work early because:
1) I need to monitor and be available to resolve any problems from our weekend upgrades
2) Today is the DTRIC Spaghetti Challenge! Iron Chef DTRIC!!!

The DTRIC Kitchen Stadium was buzzing with activity and trash talking.
A wide variety of ingredients were used. The only mandatory ingredient was spaghetti noodles.

My team made 2 varieties. One was a Kalua pig in tomato sauce and a Garlic and Clam version, both with Garlic Toast. Can you believe I forgot to take pictures of ours?!!!
Every team prepares a dish for the judges. There's our two - the ones with Garlic Toast!
What a FUN day of cooking and eating!!!!
Today I helped at a 'Throw-a-thon" at the Hawaii Potter's Guild. Potters from around the island come together to make bowls for the Empty Bowls Project, a movement to help end hunger. You can find out more here.... http://www.emptybowlhawaii.org/ It was my first time helping so I thought it was very cool to see so many talented potters in one place and I felt honored to be a part of it.
HPG for short - is a awesome place for potters.
Bev and Nelson you would 'trip out'..... this place has a mean set-up. So many good wheels!
