50 Years of Wedded Bliss 01-28-2012

Dora's parents made it to their 'Golden' Anniversary this month! 50 Happy Years.

Grandpa's choice was BLT Steak in Waikiki - That's why we get along, we think alike.

This sign has been on my blog a few times.

We wanted this private room but weren't confirmed for it, so we were very happy to be seated here.

Dora did a great job with these favors.

The Happy couple - it was funny when we realized they were sitting on opposite ends of the big table from each other. Maybe that's the secret to a long marriage?

We ordered Caesar Salads for everyone.

Many ordered the Short Ribs - so tender!

Another great dining adventure at BLT. Do youself a favor if you go, ask for Justin - he's the best waiter and he surfs good too!

Friday evening some of the beach gang attended the services for the late Alexander Keone (1919-2012). First of all I want to express my deepest condolences to the Keone family, and I just want to mention that I was impressed with what a great man he was. So much Aloha, so much generosity. On top of that, he was 5th degree black belt, Fire Captain, Certified Welder and so much more. Rest in Peace Mr. Keone - I want to be like you!

I was in shock when there was a food smell in the house after coming home from work. 'What could it be?' I thought.

Holy smokes! Dora made dinner! Pork Chops in Cream of Mushroom Gravy. So good!

Surf Report 01-26-2012

Woke up early....... check the wind direction....... Arggghh!!! Kona winds!

I dressed for work and took a spin down the beach to find Nelson and Tony there. The onshore was STIFF! Then Nelson mentions a fire in the Pan-Am building. Yikes! He said it was on the 17th floor and I work on the 15th. When I got in there was security and maintenance everywhere sucking up water on everyfloor. The fire was actually on the 13th floor, so we were safe. I was hoping for the day off but if we did have water damage, it would be more work for us.
