Definitely some 'Magic' this Tuesday morning... Good waves with light crowd!!! You snooze, you lose!
I was calling it the Lantern Festival but it's the Floating Lantern Ceremony. No matter what you call it it was beautiful!

It was a beautiful day filled with good friends, good food, good waves and good times.
We (Dora, Dawn and I) got to the beach at about 6:00am to find our spot already safely secured.
Cal and good-guy Wendell Aoki had set-up the tents at 4:30am!
I brought the bikes for Dawn.
After our morning swim, Dawn had to do her Kumon homework.
Each year the LanternFestival gets more elaborate!

My first plate - Chili/Rice, salsa and chips, gau gee, sushi rice, roast pig, steak and marinated pork. Everything was good - the pig was juicy and tender. Sorry I was hungry too and forgot to get detailed pics of everything.

Just want to say MAHALO to everybody for making this a GREAT picnic. My family and I had a great day at the beach. Special thanks to Lau for the pig and Cal for everything else - it was such a beautiful day I have to believe that Lorna was present to make it so special.

Today is Leighton's birthday.
We got him a cake and sang 'Happy Birthday'.
He was surprised but amazingly he got what he needed - Costco CASH!!!! from Tony and me.
Too bad my camera still broken - I would've taken a birthday shot of him ripping today!
