Although we celebrated the March babies yesterday, Randy's birthday is actually today - always ripping at 25.
Weekend Report 03-28-2010
What a fun filled weekend!
Saturday we attended a birthday party for Dawn's best friend, Tayler. It was an all girl party where they put glitter strands in their hair and paint their finger nails - all the girls enjoyed it.

Sunday was another birthday party for Dawn's friend Toby. This one was at the Zoo where they had a wild time.

Sunday was also a beach birthday celebration for the March babies, Lau, Randy and Wes. Surf first and eat after, then eat again. Thanks Lei for organizing a good picnic with good food and fun games!!!!

As if that wasn't enough to do on a Sunday, we went and got my mother and we all went to Magic Island for the Family Festival. We played games, rode the rides and ate dinner there - just more fun.

Wind: Light and variable
Light winds with some decent waves but the good sets were taking a long time. As usual the waves looked better as I was leaving for work.

Surf Report 03-21-2010 & Happy Birthday Mom and Grandpa Crow
Waves: 3 - 5 feet
Wind: Moderate Trades
Went exploring to new destinations this morning and found some good waves with light crowd. Here's a small sample of the waves.

Today is the birthday of my mother and Grandpa Crow (my sister's father in-law). My mom saw an article in Dining Out featuring Sushi King and wanted to give it a try. Sushi King is in the University area by Surf Garage.

Everybody gets miso soup - this one has more veggies than normal and was good.
Some got the Chirashi bento.
Some got the Tempura and Ahi Katsu.
Mom got the Tempura and Saba.
Some got the Tempura and Salmon Katsu including Dora and I - winnahs!.
What made the Salmon Katsu so good was this 'special' katsu sauce - very creamy.
We brought our own birthday cake but they didn't allow us to eat it in the restaurant so we did it 'tailgate' style right in the parking lot. Just as good, if not better more fun for the kids.
