Happy Halloween 10-31-2008

What a busy Halloween day, Dawn's pre-school had a parade in the morning, then we went to Kahala Mall in the evening. We had fun and she got lots of candy and toys.

As some of you guessed yesterday's report was a 'trick'.

Surf Report 10-30-2008

Another surprise session, the surf was way better than yesterday - 1 - 4 feet, glassy and uncrowded!!!!               ;)

What a suprise, the surf was GOOD! Slight bump with nice offshore winds - way better than yesterday.

Nice waves and clearer skies - I don't know about you but the vog was affecting my sinuses yesterday.

For those who didn't come down today - I heard tomorrow will be junk so you better wait for Friday or go surf country.

Surf was even smaller today - solid 1 foot. Super glassy, super voggy, super dirty water. Shower good if you go.

Surf still small 1 - 2 with glassy conditions. I rode the new SUP again, it's a good cruising board in small waves. I added a tail pad and it feels even better.

Surf was small, 1 - 1 1/2 feet with sometimes glassy, sometimes onshore conditions. I didn't care, I just wanted to try out the new SUP. The board felt GOOD - I think it's a keeper.

I didn't surf today because I volunteered to help with the Police Surf Contest at Queens in Waikiki.

China is running the contest this year and he got a few boards to give away, even a Hulakai Stand-up.

The surf was pretty good 1 - 2 feet with glassy conditions most of the time. The winds did get onshore at times but it usually didn't last too long. There were a few familiar faces in the heats.

China always does things First Class, especially Trophies and Prizes. They had a $1 raffle for 2 longboards and the Stand-up board. I was thinking it would be cool to win a board, and guess who won the Hulakai Stand-up? That's right, ME! How cool is that!!! I'm stoked!!!!

Surf was cranking! Solid 1 footers with epic conditions. Tomorrow you should go to the gym, go work early or sleep late.
