Surf Report 8-29-2008

Happy Aloha Friday!!!

I actually have a Holiday on Monday - imagine that!

The waves were better and bigger than yesterday with same nice offshore winds. The crowd however was worse - some new faces getting in the way. Please tell everyone to stay home tomorrow - gonna be junk!

Surf Report 8-28-2008

Surf was SUPer good today, solid 2 feet with nice long walls and very few people - thanks for staying home!

I think tomorrow is going to be junk - please stay home or go work early again!

Pig Report 8-26-2008

Our neighbor called the State to complain about the pigs and they came and killed two. They sat and waited then shot them with a Bow and Arrow. We were very sad because they were like pets.

Super small, stay home.

Yesterday was the Baby Shower for Leighton & Takako - we had a great turnout, Courts must've been empty because most of the surfers were at the Pagoda. They got a lot of good stuff and we got a lot of good food!

Surf & Olympic Fish Report 8-23-2008

SURF: Surf was pretty junk - some weak windswell/SW combo.

OLYMPIC FISHING: Team Japan took an early lead, first 1-0, then 2-0. But Team China came back STRONG to tie Team Japan 2-2. We will schedule a fish-off-tie-breaker to decide who gets the Gold!!!

Conditions were perfect but the waves were small, weak and inconsistent - plus the crowd was out. Is there a swell coming?

Another SUPer fun morning out at Courts - light winds and light crowd with rare over head waves. It was smaller than yesterday but much cleaner. Greg is back for a visit from Cali.

Surf was pretty this morning. Occasional over head windswell sets with light crowd. I rode my 9-3 SUP and had lots of fun.

Saturday Report 8-16-2008

We had a lunch party at our house, I woke up early to cook a Prime Rib. It came out very good - tasty and tender. Check the Fresh Big Island Opihi, Earline's Hoisin Chicken and Dora's Mini Hot Dogs too! We also had Cat's Hot Seafood salad and Nana's World Famous Shrimp Canton and so much more - sorry no shots for those. To finish we were very fortunate to get 'Pie's by Alan' - Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate/Haupia - Hoohoo!!!

Too bad Maika got sick, but Dawn and Kai had lots of fun - get well soon Maika!
